Noncompete Agreement Held Unenforceable (March 29, 2010)
On a demurrer motion filed by Douglas Burtch and JB Burtch on behalf of the defendant in Specialty Marketing Inc. v. Lawrence, the Hanover Circuit Court struck down a noncompete agreement as overbroad and unenforceable, saying the language far exceeds whatever limitation would be necessary to protect employer’s business interests.
