Law Firm’s Founding Partners Named to Virginia’s Legal Elite
Recognition Reflects Contribution to Legal Profession and Community at Large
RICHMOND, VA (December 21, 2009) – The law firm of Macaulay & Burtch is proud to announce that its two founding partners were selected by their peers as Virginia’s “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business magazine.
Virginia’s Legal Elite are selected annually by their peers. This year, more than 12,000 attorneys received online ballots from Virginia Business magazine editors in coordination with the Virginia Bar Association. Nominations were made in 15 practice categories.
Alexander M. Macaulay was recognized by Legal Elite for his work in the Legislative/Regulatory/Administrative practice area. A lawyer and lobbyist in Richmond since 1991, Macaulay serves on the Board of Richmond Memorial Health Foundation and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Richmond.
Jack W. Burtch, Jr. has been named to Virginia’s Legal Elite each year since 1999 in the Labor and Employment category. He was most recently recognized as one of Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s “Leaders in the Law” Class of 2009. Burtch has been practicing in Richmond since 1973.
